Our terrarium workshops are designed to nurture your mind and uplift your mood. There’s something deeply soothing about working with soil, moss, and plants. It’s a natural remedy for stress and anxiety.
These classes also provide a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in your community. We’ve witnessed countless friendships take root and thrive in this creative, welcoming space.
What can you expect from our terrarium workshops?
During our terrarium workshops you will receive the following:
60oz air-tight jar (unless otherwise noted) - yes that big.
Gravel or sand for the drainage layer
Horticultural charcoal
Substrate
One palm-sized piece of moss
Plants and Clippings (amount dependent on workshop)
Decorative elements (dependent on workshop theme)
Each attendee will use a variety of tools we provide to craft their terrarium. Please feel free to bring any items you may want to add into your terrarium (personal crystals, figurines, fossils). We are happy to help you incorporate the items into the design.

Dive into the fascinating world of fossils, cave structures, and nature in our curated prehistoric terrarium workshop! This will be an an engaging experience where you'll create your own unique bioactive terrarium featuring genuine fossil specimens.
What to Expect:
Hands-On Guidance: We will guide you through each step of the process, from adding a drainage layer and soil, plant and moss placement, and illuminating your chosen fossil pieces. We will have pre-built mini caves for you to use. Alternatively, you may learn how to build your own with our selection of rocks.
Learn About Fossils: Discover the role of fossils in both ecology and geology. Understand how these ancient remnants can be incorporated into modern terrarium design.
Personalize Your Creation: Choose from a selection of fossils, along with various plants that thrive in a closed ecosystem. Personalization is key, and we encourage your creative expression!
Who Can Join: This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, and no previous experience is necessary. Whether you're a seasoned terrarium maker or a curious beginner, you'll find joy in this hands-on prehistoric opportunity. Do not feel nervous about working with a mini cave! We will be right there to help!
This class is a great deal. You will receive a terrarium and a free half pour of your choice, courtesy of Flight Deck Brewing Co.

Mother’s Day Market Fossil Desert Terrarium Workshop
Create a colorful and unique Fossil Desert Terrarium with us! Work with succulents, cacti, and FOSSILS. Additionally, you will have access to driftwood, minerals, crystal points, and colored sands.

Succulent Garden Terrarium Workshop
Create a miniature desert ecosystem with us! This terrarium workshop is unique because you'll work with various succulents and cactus. You will have access to colored sand, driftwood, and unique minerals!

We happily travel from Bath to Biddeford and take care of everything needed for a seamless experience.

No. This event is per person. This applies to children. We recommend building one together and creating something you can each cherish.

It depends. If we have extra materials on hand, yes. It is always better to book ahead to be sure you can join the class!

10 minutes before the class starts so you can settle in!

Due to the nature of our workshops and preparation involved, we do not offer refunds. This applies to rescheduled events. However, we’re happy to offer you credit toward any of our upcoming workshops. Please do not reach out to us asking for an exception.
