6 Gallon Premium Terrarium with Zebra Isopods

This is a show-stopper. This terrarium was made in 2024 and has been growing in perfectly. It is a six gallon container with a lid to keep the humidity.
The terrarium consists of a few different layers. The drainage layer consists of Leca (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate). The next layer is charcoal, which purifies the water as it moves through the ecosystem. The soil is a mixture of decaying deciduous leaves, decaying oak bark, worm castings, volcanic rock, and coconut coir.
There are a variety of plants and moss established inside the ecosystem. Some include fittonia, various ferns, string of turtles, string of frogs, a few pilea species, and a jewel orchid.
Finally, the terrarium houses a healthy population of springtails and zebra isopods. Each species has plenty of food as the soil was specifically designed to provide them with enough nutrients to last.
Maintenance:
Once a month open the lid to allow some fresh air to enter the system.
Once a month add in some food (provided by us) for the isopods
Trim the ferns and other plants as they grow. Every 3-6 months. Very easy and low maintenance.
